I have to take Lanzaprozole as if I'm prescribed Ibuprofen for any reason I suffer from internal bleeding. so to me they are a lifeline

This medication was prescribed to treat a gastric ulcer which it did within a reasonable time. I now take it as a preventative medicine which has worked very well.

I am seeing my doctor to come off this medicine. I have read some rather disturbing things about it. I have realised the cramps and other symptoms i get could be related to the medication. I am going to start taking natural medication for my Gastric reflux.

I felt like a knife was going straight through my chest, I went to a&e as I thought I was having a heart attack, I did the right thing to go to a&e with any chest pain. It was found to be very bad acid reflux. I take lansoprazole and have not had it since.

Lansoprazole is used to treat certain stomach and esophagus problems (such as acid reflux, ulcers). It works by decreasing the amount of acid your stomach makes. It relieves symptoms such as heartburn, difficulty swallowing, and persistent cough. This medication helps heal acid damage to the stomach and esophagus, helps prevent ulcers, and may help prevent cancer of the esophagus. Lansoprazole belongs to a class of drugs known as proton pump inhibitors (PPIs).
